Nokia Mail In Rebate

I recently bought a new Nokia cell phone from Amazon which included a $50- mail in rebate. My experience with mail in rebates has been mixed, but after following the instructions to the Tee on this one I have a bit of advice: Don’t believe this crap.

I got a form letter from the Nokia Customer Care department today. It has three reasons why they are not going to pay me the rebate including, “This mobile phone purchased is not valid for this offer.”

Do you suppose the high paid executives with Nokia think this is the proper way to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction? Or is it more a way to improve the company’s bottom line and thus their bonus?
