Manganocalcite

At the Tucson gem and mineral show this year I got several new rocks which fluoresce beautifully.

One I got from a dealer I know who is out of Bakersville, North Carolina. It is a piece of stalagmite from Bisbee, Arizona which has just the corrrect amount of the activators manganese and lead present.

So under shortwave ultraviolet light it fluoresces a beautiful red color.
