Renaissance Fair

Yesterday there was a Renaissance Fair in El Paso.

A friend of mine named Winston makes really fine reproduction hats and garments from this era.

So I bought a nice hat from him.

I think J.K. Rowlings's Hagrid is a neat guy. I can relate to him. He is a big guy who doesn't have a lot of close friends.

He lives near the edge of civilization, doesn't really have a real job, has a 3 headed wolf as a pet, and although he is a gentle and kind man who cries at sentimental stuff, he is one tough bastard.

A good friend indeed to have at your side if you're in a fight.
