V Is For Vendetta

Over the Christmas holidays I saw some out-of-town friends. They recommended that I watch the 2006 movie called V is for Vendetta. I ordered it used from Amazon, and it arrived yesterday.

The plot is about a British man who is called “V”. He has been horribly wronged by the totalitarian government of Britain. America has fallen into anarchy. He is a lonely, but very caring and classy guy whose house is filled with wonderful ancient art, antiques, and antiquities. In the process of waging war against this totalitarian British government he meets and rescues a girl from the secret police who is named Evey. Together they fight the totalitarian brutality.

The movie has many great actors including Natlie Portman and Stephen Fry. This is a truly outstanding movie on lots of different levels. I rate it a solid ten out of ten!

One memorable quote from the movie, “People should not be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.”
