So Where Is The Moral Outrage?

Now that Universal Health Care and even the ultralight version that President Obama called Health Care Reform are both officially dead it is more than appropriate to ask, “Where is the moral outrage?”

The top elected officials are now saying that we have plenty of time. Health insurance companies are still canceling policies when people get sick, and people who thought they had good insurance are still going bankrupt and losing their homes when a family member gets sick. Millions of people are still completely excluded due to pre-existing medical conditions.

Where is Mr. Obama and his silver tongue? The absence of any real presidential leadership on this and many other important issues has been painfully obvious.

The Republicans are most responsible for this failure, but the blue dog Democrats share a lot of the blame too. All I have to say to all of our elected officials who played a part in this monumental failure is: You phonies. You cruel, sick bastards.
