Juarez Murders

The latest reports indicate that there were 79 murders in April 2009, an increase of 20% over March. This is despite the massive federal governmental troop presence in Juarez.

So far this year 28 members of the police and security forces have been killed. In total 508 people have been murdered from January through April 2009. Twentyfive of the victims are women.
