Secretary of the Treasury

Congress is deciding whether to let Timothy F. Geithner to serve as Treasury secretary. My guess is he is very smart and a good man.

But he apparently doesn’t pay attention to enough detail. Or his accountant is a crook or incompetent. Or in fact Geithner is a crook. Any of the above is a problem.

If you want to be the Secretary of the Treasury, and you keep year-after-year not properly paying your FICA and other self employment taxes, this just plain looks bad.
