Victorian Flower Vases

Sunday I was at the antiques market in Tongeren, Belgium.

A lady was selling these two delightfully gaudy Victorian era mini-vases. They are about six inches tall.

I thought they were Vaselline glass, but I wasn't sure. And I didn't have my portable UV lamp with me. She wanted EUR 40- but was happy to get EUR 30- so I bought them. This is about $35- for the pair.

What a treat when I got home to find that they really glow brightly under long wave ultraviolet light.
