Menudo

-
Yesterday evening on the BBC they had a show about a really nice British cook named Rick Stein who is touring France by travelling in a powered barge via the French canals. Along the way he stops and samples various genuine local French food, and he also learns how to cook these dishes from the local cooks.

A part of the show yesterday was devoted to a traditional French soup that is made from tripe. There was also a part devoted to the local way to cook roasted goat.

It made me miss menudo. And cabrito. I really do look forward to getting back to El Paso where on the weekends one can eat a little bit of menudo.
